P3 Israel

Project Language Bridge

P3 Israel’s purpose is to partner with organizations and communities in Israel and the United States, helping them to work together, to share knowledge and experiences so that they will be able to provide even more solutions for those they serve. Out of a deep sense of commitment and in the knowledge that organizations and people on both sides of the “pond” have a burning desire to serve, we developed a new initiative – Project Language Bridge.

Sports Bridge Initative

P3 Israel believes sports are a common activity that bring people together to hear messages of inclusiveness, friendship, cooperation, and community. Sports Bridge brings professional athletes to Israel to address the issues of antisemitism, racism, and intolerance through sports.

We are committed to building relationships through sports and bringing people, partnership, and provision to the people of Israel and combatting hate through sports.

Special Needs Focus

Working with two of our special need’s partners, Kivunim and House of Wheels, to help prepare youth and adults with disabilities for the challenges of independent living. This includes ESL, basic social interaction and skills, plus building projects for handicap accessible issues and so much more!

Kivunim (New Directions) provides services to individuals age 10-40 with physical disabilities, sensory disabilities and chronic illness associated disorders, brain injuries, hearing impaired/deaf, and high functioning young adults on the autism spectrum. They operate innovative programs that emphasize capabilities and strengths including rehabilitative social clubs, supportive housing, occupational training and unique activities promoting independence and integration into society.

Kivunim also provides some 40 apartments where its members can live independent lives in groups of six to eight people with a social worker/house mother/father to provide assistance when needed.

Kivunim has a wide range of projects that P3 Israel can be involved in from apartment maintenance to accompanying member’s on trips to town or other journeys to helping in occupational therapy workshops and much more.

House of Wheels (Bet HaGalgalim) is an organization serving people aged 8 to 40 with physical disabilities. House of Wheels envisions a society in which there is full social inclusion of all people with physical disabilities in all areas of life from education to recreation and beyond. The organization provides people with physical disabilities opportunities to develop, grow and be part of creating and living in an inclusive society regardless of their background. They operate in all sectors of Israeli society – serving Jews, Arabs, Bedouins, Christians, Muslims, and Druze alike.

House of Wheels sees P3 Israel as becoming an important partner it its work. Apart from help in maintenance and DIY projects, they see our most valuable contribution being our interaction with their members, helping them to increase their self esteem and prove to themselves that they can be active, contributing members of society.

Communities Trip

We have ongoing partnerships with Bet HaEmek plus new relationships with other communities across Israel including Ephrat in Judea and Sameria, Jewish and Arab communities in the Galil and the city of Kiriyat Shmoneh. Wherever we are, we work with the community on projects that leave a lasting impact.

Across Israel, and especially in the periphery, there are communities that, for various reasons have many projects and needs that they are unable to fulfill. These can include:

  • Community gardening projects

  • Refurbishing shelters

  • Community centers – helping out in workshops, ESL classes, arts and crafts and more.

  • Senior citizens clubs working with the people, engaging with them and provide much needed social and other support.

  • Schools and kindergartens - children who need extra help with their schoolwork – math, English, etc. Kindergartens where they need extra people to watch over the children, to play with them.

Our teams will be active wherever we are able to provide the greatest help and wherever we are needed. There are always tasks that need to be done. We will be there to do whatever we can. Whatever your age, whatever your profession or skills – you will be able to make a very real and significant contribution to people’s lives.
