Bet HaEmek's Remembrance Ceremony

The covid 19 pandemic has affected the whole world. in Israel and here on Bet HaEmek the realities of living under the threat of the virus, forced us to hold a remembrance ceremony for our fallen soldiers without the presence of the families and, as is usually the case, the entire kibbutz. We are used to gathering at our small cemetery standing by the graves of the fallen with their families and retelling their tales, bringing them, if only for a moment, back to life.

This year, we filmed the ceremony, without an audience and posted it to Facebook so that, even if we are forced to remain in our homes, we can still be part of the community.

Even though the ceremony is in Hebrew, it holds for all of us on Bet HaEmek, special significance. We share it here so that all of our friends from P3, can be part of us.
